2021-2031 Campaigns

The Center for Peace and Conflict Management in Africa (CPCMA) would form a Campaign coalition, or bold movements that will

  • Interrogate the status quo (state of things in Nigeria) and Africa in general;
  • Using Online engagement as the most preferred channel, where young people will interrogate issues, speak up against bad governance and demand for change;
  • Demand accountability from the leaders on violation of human rights, police brutality; the violence of any form on citizens;
  • Budget monitoring and tracking of approved government projects;
  • Continue to watch and monitor the civic (particularly digital) space and ensure it remains open, ensure citizens engage meaningfully and have the capacity to do so;
  • Prepare young people and women to participate meaningfully in politics with 2023 general elections in Nigeria and beyond in view, and to participate in decision making at all levels;
  • Action that can facilitate a movement of young people, strengthen their capacity to engage and use varied platforms to speak up;
  • Bridging gender gaps, power differences, resource imbalance etc. as it affects the Voice groups at the grassroots level;
  • Actions advancing rule of law, good governance, inclusive, transparent/accountable governance at the grassroots level;
  • Effective implementation of existing laws that promote inclusiveness and rights of Voice groups;

Our vision is a Nigeria and Africa where all people are empowered, engaged, resilient and secure. We partner with local communities to recover from fragile situations to resilience, helping them to meet urgent needs while addressing the root causes of issues. In addition to playing an integral role in bridging the divide between humanitarian and development solutions, we work in some of the most challenging and dynamic regions of the country to strengthen economic opportunities, support integrated peace-building and economic development, promote financial inclusion, and improve the lives of adolescents.

Campaign Programs

Peace Campaign

It is a common phenomenon in Africa, that war and struggle for democratic government is now the order of the day; a typical example is Ivory Coast and Egypt. This is not good for any country expecting a better future, our countries are supposed to be peaceful and coexist with each other, this is what the campaign is all about.

We shall carry out this by organizing seminars, workshop, debates and talk-shows; in collaboration with experts and in conjunctions with stake holders and other organizations concerned with the propagation of peace in Africa.

We shall use all available medium and avenue to carry out this campaign like electronic media, print media, mass/group campaign etc.

Campaign Against Corruption

The greatest calamity that has ever affected most African countries, the welfare of their citizens are abandoned, and they careless about them as a result of corruption, which at the end leads to the collapse of infrastructure, economic crisis, unemployment and even war.

The centre for peace and conflict management in Africa shall join the campaign against corruption not only in Africa but around the world by collaborating with the existing interested groups as well as initiating new moves and strategies in fighting corruption.
