The Center for Peace and Conflict Management in Africa (CPCMA) was established 14 years ago, it seeks to promote Peace. CPCMA is a group of passionate and driven individuals working closely with communities, local organisations and governments to find sustainable solutions that make a difference. With a strong and growing team of over 150 staff, of which 100% are nationals. CPCMA is currently serving over 150,000 right-holders across 15 states in Nigeria.
The Center for Peace and Conflict Management in Africa is a Nigerian-based non-governmental organization aimed at forming a network for the promotion of peace in Africa. We are registered in Nigeria as an Incorporated Trustees with RC No. CAC/IT/NO. 41552. We are committed towards working out pro-active measures for conflict prevention and resolution, as well as the promotion of peace and peaceful co-existence amongst Africans. In furtherance of the foregoing aims and objectives, we are committed to bridging the gap of peace in Africa through regular seminars, conferences, trainings and publications on Peace and Conflict Management especially in Africa, while also promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution in conflict management.
CPCMA develops curricular/materials and provides training on mediation, negotiation, arbitration, and other conflict resolution services for governmental and nongovernmental organizations, business and community groups, public and private agencies, educational institutions and allied professional associations (in Africa).
We are committed to bridging the gap of peace in Africa through regular seminars, conferences, trainings and publications of peace and conflict management especially in Africa, while also promoting alternative resolution in conflict management.
Works towards the eradication of Malaria, HIV and other forms of diseases
To form a coalition of peace-loving individuals in Africa, with the goal of eradicating poverty, crises and impunity
Conduct research and evaluations on African conflict situations, and serve as a clearinghouse/resource center
To eradicate all forms of corruption, eradicate hindrances to access to justice in Africa.
To provide a platform for the less privileged, protecting human rights abuses, and ensuring good governance
Prison reformation, campaign for the rights of inmates and abolition of death penalty
Develop and implement programs that educate and promote peace & conciliation among African families, organizations, community groups, and governments, both in Africa
To work towards the elimination of death penalty
To promote the eradication of poverty and other social vices
Promote access to digital rights, freedom of expression and all other forms of human rights as guaranteed by international law
Works towards the reduction of drug abuse, child abuse, female genital mutilations
Rendering free legal service to inmates in African Prisons and offer rehabilitation services
Assist in mediation/arbitration/resolution of conflicts among Africans, when possible and with consent of disputing parties
Establish institutional and community network of support in Africa on conflict resolution and assist in creation of indigenous conflict resolution institutes in Africa
To promote peace
To develop a new network of Africans of integrity who love peace and are ready to work for the restoration, maintenance and ion of peace within the continent
To preach attitudinal peaceful resolution of dispute
